In Until Further Notice, Daniel Mercer follows incomplete memories and copied descriptions back toward their sources. In the separate fantasy novel The Second Summons, Eliza Venn enters the invented archives of Eliza World, where even a court must account for what its records can and cannot prove.

The characters, settings and cases are different. Their shared thread is that corrections deserve a history, honest uncertainty deserves a place, and fair process must work for everyone.
